TX Factor

Amateur Radio Revealed

TX Factor is a series of high definition TV shows covering all aspects of the hobby of amateur radio - a professionally produced programme, now into its fifth year.

Our programmes are sponsored by ML&S Martin Lynch & Sons -

the world's favourite ham store and

The Radio Society of Great Britain - advancing amateur radio since 1913

Our thanks to both organisations for their support and we look forward to our ongoing association.

Episode 22

Welcome to our latest episode!

Totally Conventional - TX date 7th December 2018

In this show we look at two new radios: the Yaesu FTdx 101 hybrid transceiver, and the Icom IC-R8600 receiver. Pete Sipple M0PSX visits the RSGB Convention 2018, and Bob ventures into the controversial world of Network Radio.

In our free-to-enter draw, there was a chance to win five great amateur radio-related items: four books from the RSGB including the RSGB Yearbook 2019 and the new 5W, dual-band hand held transceiver from Yaesu, the FT-4X.

Our back catalog of shows are all available to watch here on the website or on our Youtube channel

To help generate some extra revenue to fund future production of TX Factor shows, we have made our first seven episodes available as pay-per-view shows (PPV). We’re asking our loyal viewers to pay a nominal fee to enable them to stream or download and keep the early shows which are all commercial- and sponsorship-free. We hope you’ll be able to spend half the cost of a flat white in order to watch again some of these earlier shows which still remain valuable resources in the world of amateur radio. And remember, every penny goes towards the cost of maintaining the PPV platform, and helping to fund future episodes. Thank you!
